Theme Overview: Mentor

In many ways, mentorship is the ultimate example of something paid forward. The people that have shared their hard-won knowledge and experience with us were likely mentored by someone in their youth. And if we become mentors ourselves, we can offer others our wise counsel. And so it goes ad infinitum. The authors for this month’s theme share their experiences as mentors and mentees, and the ways mentorship is inextricably tied with justice.
